April Book Club Pick 🥳
Big thank you to everyone who voted in the poll last week for our April book club book! It was a tie, so I’m making the executive decision to choose Go, Went, Gone by Jenny Erpenbeck for our April book club! I will be traveling through Germany in April (where this novel takes place) and am very interested in the subject matter as, many moons ago, I wrote on the topic of refugee resettlement for my college thesis.
May Book Club Pick 🥳🥳
Because this was a tie, and in case there is anyone who wants to get a head start on their library’s waitlist, I’ll go ahead and announce May’s book club pick too: The Door by Magda Szabó! This will be a nice way to wrap up my European travels as this novel takes place in Hungary, which will be my final destination.
Where to get your books📘📙
If you are in the U.S., I strongly encourage you to head to your local library. As federal funding is being cut for libraries, using their services shows your support. If you would like to purchase these books, you can also do so by clicking the following links:
Go, Went, Gone (Bookshop.org) or (Amazon)
The Door (Bookshop.org) or (Amazon)

· Intro music: Chopin: Berceuse in D-Flat Major, Op. 57
*P.S. Like Fuyuko, I have had a lifelong battle with my inner critic. If you have ever doubted, judged or second guessed yourself (who hasn’t’?), you may enjoy my post on silencing that naggy little voice. Give it a read, a like and a share!
Happy Listening!
